Face to Face Training
Courses are regularly held at all Genie locations or training can be held at your facility (call 1800 788 633 to discuss). The courses offered are for the major product lines including Scissor Lifts (slab and rough terrain), Telescopic Booms (stick), Articulating Booms (knuckle booms) and Telehandlers.
Courses include hydraulic and electrical control system calibrations and adjustments - along with fault handling, testing and troubleshooting procedures. The courses focus on the most current models and control systems.
Prior to attending classes, technicians must be able to - read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, understand and apply basic electrical and hydraulic theories, have operational knowledge of a digital multi-meter, hydraulic oil pressure gauge and basic hand tools.
Eligibility
Corresponding online training modules must be successfully completed a week prior to your requested class with a passing grade of 80% or greater.
N.B. Technicians are required to complete certain modules prior to attending face-to-face training. This minimum skill level is set for all technicians to ensure that face-to-face training focuses on technical content instead of going over basic knowledge and concepts. This results in shorter overall course duration.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL will be available to some technicians who have previously completed Genie Factory Service Training and this is assessed by our training team on an individual basis. To find out if you are eligible for RPL, contact our training team on 1800 788 633.
