I started in 1991 as a welder, and over the years, I have worked to learn and improve many processes at Big Boom on several lines, as well as have helped to increase production on three lines by using Lean methodologies. I have also been a supervisor on the Z-45 weld team, a safety rep and a Hyster certified forklift instructor for the Z-45 plant. In fact, I have welded on most lines based in Redmond. Currently, I am a Team lead 3 for Large Slab weld. I have a total of 17 years in at Genie (and counting!), and I am proud to say that I have had a hand in many changes at Genie thru Lean improvements, safety improvements, cost downs, ECN's and so on, and I also gave the company the idea to add portable welders to our booms. The list is long, and I am proud of all that I have done to help make Genie the company that it is today.
